About the event
Act Up! Theatrical Activism from the Bard to Broadway is a musical revue featuring monologues and small scenes from Shakespeare’s greatest works, as well as musical solos and duets from time-honored Broadway shows, woven together to examine the historical and current role of theater as a voice for social justice. The production was written and directed by Natalie Cunha, with music direction by Anna Wentlent, choreography by Katie Donovan, film direction by Anna Cuevas, and costumes by Erline Trites.
Despite the challenges of attending school in a pandemic, the RMHS Drama Club is proud to be working on their annual fall production, albeit in a slightly different manner than usual. The cast and crew of nearly 60 high school students are rehearsing, recording music, designing costumes, and creating tech plans entirely from home over Zoom, and have been filming their performances outdoors and at home. The production will be released as a film for online viewing.
Tickets are available for purchase online. Tickets will be valid for a video streaming event at 7:00 pm on Friday, Dec. 4th and for subsequent viewing anytime until midnight on Friday, Dec. 11th.
